Camp ADAPT will provide children with autism all the amenities of a normal summer camp experience. There will be hiking, horseback riding, crafts, swimming, music performances at the large outdoor amphitheater, sporting opportunities, and much more. Campers will engage in these enriching activities in a safe and understanding environment. The director of Camp ADAPT is Autism Specialist and founder of ADAPT4Autism Chris Gibson-Cipfl, MAED. Chris has over 13 years experience serving children with ASD and their families. Chris provides private therapy for children with ASD and is employed by Belleville Public School District #118 as their Autism Consultant. In addition to Chris and camp staff, there will be two medical staff present at all times during camp. All medication or specialized medical needs can be accommodated. All staff assisting at camp are specifically trained to meet both the physical and psychological needs of all campers in a manner that is dignified and respectful. |
